An O-ring (also known as an O-ring seal) is a rubber seal with a circular cross-section. An O-ring is a mechanical seal used to prevent fluid leakage between two mating surfaces. Its main functions are to achieve gas seals, water seals, and oil seals.

There are two methods for marking O-ring specifications: 1. Inner diameter (ID) * wire diameter (CS); 2. Inner diameter (ID) * outer diameter (OD). The first method is more commonly used.

Internationally accepted O-ring specifications include American Standard AS568A, Chinese Standard GB3452.1-82, and Japanese Standard JISB-2401.
