This Shaft Takes the Heavy Load

 

This output shaft transmits torque from the reducer to your load. Reducer output shaft processing requires strong materials. We use 7075-T6 aluminum or 40Cr alloy steel. 7075-T6 has a tensile strength above 570 MPa, while 40Cr steel is tempered to 28–32 HRC hardness. Journal roundness is ≤0.003 mm, coaxiality is ≤ φ0.008 mm, and surface roughness is Ra 0.2–0.4 μm. The tolerance grade is IT5 (ISO 286-8). This high-precision part withstands both bending and torsional stresses simultaneously.

 

Aluminum vs. Steel: Choose the Right Material

 

For 7075 aluminum, yield strength exceeds 500 MPa. Aluminum shafts provide 60–70% of the torque capacity of steel but weigh 50% less, making them ideal for drones and robots. For 40Cr steel, torque capacity is higher, making it suitable for heavy machinery. Bearing holes are machined to h5 or j6 grade, with a fit gap of 0–0.008 mm. After bearing installation, radial runout remains below 0.005 mm, ensuring smooth rotation.

 

Every Shaft Undergoes a Balance Test

 

Every output shaft undergoes a dynamic balance test according to ISO 1940 G2.5, with residual unbalance below 0.5 g·mm per kg. Hardness is verified using a Rockwell tester for each piece. Spline teeth are inspected with a gear measurement center, maintaining cumulative pitch error within 0.015 mm. Shaft journal fillets are R0.5–R1 mm to reduce stress concentration. Fatigue life exceeds 10⁷ cycles under ISO 1143 testing. Before production, we confirm your requirements and technical plan, then provide a quote and finalize the contract.
