Push It into the Groove by Hand

 

Our Rubber Channel Seal is a versatile sealing strip designed for static sealing applications. Made by molding or extrusion, it installs easily into metal or plastic grooves-no tools, no glue required. Simply push it into the groove by hand. The barbed design provides a pull-out force of ≥10 N, keeping the seal securely in place. Installation is up to 10 times faster than liquid sealants. Ideal for panels, door frames, housing seams, and other static sealing points.

Multiple Shapes and Sizes

 

We offer a variety of cross-section shapes to suit your needs: U, V, P, D, and square. The sealing lip thickness ranges from 1.5 to 3 mm, while the compression section is 4 to 8 mm. Rubber hardness is Shore A 55–75. Extruded seals are available in continuous lengths up to 50 meters per roll. Dimension tolerances follow ISO 3302-1 M2 grade. Our seals fit standard European grooves (DIN 818) and American grooves (ASME B16.5). Custom shapes are available for non-standard grooves.

Effective Compression for Air and Dust Tightness

 

When compressed 25–35%, the seal can hold 0.2 MPa of air pressure, with a leak rate below 50 cc/min, meeting IP54 protection standards. Compression of 40–50% increases sealing to IP67 level. For weather resistance, EPDM rubber passes 100 hours of ozone testing at 100 pphm with no cracks (ASTM D1149). Fluorosilicone rubber withstands temperatures up to 260°C and meets UL94 V-0 flame standards. We also offer open-cell or closed-cell sponge versions for low-pressure sealing, and solid rubber for high-pressure applications.

Use this seal for electrical cabinet doors, engine covers, aircraft window seals, ship hatch covers, and instrument cases.
