Two Functions in One Fitting

 

Our Reducing 90 degree Elbow combines two jobs in one part: it changes pipe diameter and turns the flow direction simultaneously. One fitting replaces a separate reducer plus a 90° elbow. The inlet and outlet can have different diameters, ranging from 6 mm to 60 mm. The minimum bend radius is 2.5× the larger pipe diameter (DIN 2445). Coaxiality between the two ends is ≤ φ0.1 mm. Flared wall thickness deviation is ≤ ±10%, and bend ovality is ≤8%. The taper angle for size change is 15°–25°, optimized for smooth fluid flow. Anodizing thickness is 8–12 μm, hard anodizing hardness ≥500HV, and salt spray test passes 336 hours. Working pressure is 21 MPa (3000 psi).

Compared with two separate fittings, which have three leak points, the Reducing 90 degree Elbow has only one-reducing leak points by 67%. Installation space is reduced by 40%. Our computer simulations show that the Reducing 90 degree Elbow reduces turbulence intensity by 35% compared to a separate reducer and elbow combination. Cv value loss is only 0.15–0.25 depending on the size ratio. This fitting is ideal for hydraulic pump outlets, cooler inlets/outlets, and multi-level hydraulic systems on construction machinery.
